A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...
"Her Flow Came From The Beat Of Her Heart"
My journey to becoming a teacher...

I never really know where to begin, so I start here...
When you first meet me, I hope my energy, positivity and feel good vibes connect us.

Looking at me, you would never know that my journey began through managing a serious underlying heart condition I was born with.

In fact, my condition means that from a young age I underwent multiple open heart surgeries to try and 'fix' my life pump. I was born with a rare form of congenital heart disease, specifically Pulmonary Atresia with VSD Closure and MAPCAS - also known as Tetralogy of Fallot. Which means that I had a combination of four structural abnormalities within my heart.
So I truly believe my heart found the prana 'life force energy' to keep me going for a reason. Often I get given this title of being a 'broken healer'. It gives me great strength and joy to help others either going through a health challenge or a tough transition in life.
In my early teenage years, I was encouraged to try yoga as a coping mechanism with living with this life long condition. I was told by my cardiologist that I had to find a way to learn to breathe and support my heart. As I would find it difficult to walk up four flights of stairs for classes and I would struggle to slow my heart rate down, resulting in breathlessness and dizziness, especially after extensive exercise.
Over time day to day living became harder from relapses in my health due to stress I was putting myself under, as I was struggling with health anxiety deep down and insecurity, but then that's where yoga truly helped me discover this powerful connection with myself and life.

Yoga was not only a rehabilitation tool for my heart, after a childhood of being in and out of hospital. I also discovered I had mild scoliosis (a curvature of the spine) when I was 19. The pain of sitting in lectures at University was undoubtedly tough. I leaned on Yoga which helped me deal with the pain and almost healed it.

Yoga and nutrition helped me rediscover my self worth and self love again and Ayurveda (sister science to yoga) became my way of life. This way of life made me rediscover the meaning of life again, from simply living in the present.

After secret battles of anxiety with my body confidence and heart scars "my zippers as I call them now" I now look at myself as a wellness warrior and a happiness viber :) with all the fizz to give to the world, because everyone needs a bit of 'Fizz' in their life and I hope I can help you find yours.
HEALTH IS WEALTH - PUT YOU FIRST!

"Having congenital heart disease doesn't mean you're less human or less able to succeed in life than anyone else! In fact I believe it pushes you to live for every moment. To take all the opportunities life throws at you and never let your condition stop you from being happy & successful" 😊

What can you expect from my classes?

The foundation of my practice journeys through the beauty of the physical asana, whilst also cultivating the inner heart-opening and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, I'm able to promote awareness of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and wellbeing.

My unique creative flow classes, are based on a fusion of moving for mobility and embodying the practice within. With the beauty of yoga philosophy, meditation, Ayurveda, unique sequencing and elements of therapeutic yoga. I believe my classes are a powerful combination that forms a deeper journey within and leaves you with a smile on your face.

..
"I honestly believe I was born with a broken heart to help others feel 'fixed'. Sounds silly I know, but if you have been through something- its tough to not notice you're different and life can often be a struggle. I didn't find Yoga, Sport & Ayurvedic Wellbeing, I truly believe these ancient sciences found me to help me on a journey of truthful living."
